Formerly
an executive director of PaineWebber International Bank Ltd,
Mary has successfully developed and marketed private banking
and trust services to high-net-worth clients. Moving to the
third sector, she project managed for the DTI and gained extensive
cross-sectoral board experience from roles including non-executive
director of the North East London Strategic Health Authority.
Mary was chair of trustees for international development charity
One World Action for seven years, and is currently a board
member of HBV Enterprise. She joined PrimeTimers in 2004.

The main advocate for the Civil Society University project is Dr Martin Albrow, Emeritus Professor of the University of Wales and Senior Visiting Fellow, London School of Economics. .

As a consultant sociologist Martin has worked with PrimeTimers since 2004 having taught and researched in many universities in the UK, Germany and the USA. He is an honorary vice-president of the British Sociological Association and his books include ‘Do Organisations have Feelings?' and the prize winning ‘The Global Age'.
