Winter 2007 and Spring 2008 evening debates

PrimeTimers organised a series of evening debates with the overarching theme of 'lifelong learning and the third sector.' The final and culminating debate 'Is a university the solution for the third sector?' took place on 14 April 2008, chaired by David Walker. Professor Martin Albrow made the case for a Civil Society University and panel member Stephen Bubb, Janet Fleming and Dr Frances Pinter responded. Read the press release here.

September 2005 cross-sector conference

As part of its thought leadership activities, PrimeTimers held a cross-sector conference, entitled 'Leveraging business skills for the third sector.' Amongst the challenges for the third sector was an invitation for organisations to join together to campaign for an integrated lifelong learning approach to third sector education with the question "We have business universities, why not a university for civil society?"
